This Privacy Policy explains how OC Vendor Guide collects, uses, and shares information when you use our directory.

OC Vendor Guide is the trade name for the online directory published at https://ocvendorguide.com (domain ocvendorguide.com).

Account details such as name, email, Google sign-in identifiers (when you use Google), password hash if you sign up with email, role (parent/planner or vendor), preferences, and consent records. We do not receive Google passwords.
Usage data such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, searches, and session timestamps from essential cookies.
Planner details you choose to save, inquiries and messages, reviews, vendor profile content, and vendor billing status for directory memberships (handled with Stripe).
Do not upload government IDs, medical information, or children’s identifying details unless a feature clearly requires them and you have a lawful basis to provide them.
We use information to operate accounts, listings, search, favorites, inquiries, reviews, vendor memberships, abuse prevention, customer support, and required business records.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to improve the directory.
Public listing and review content may be visible to visitors. When you send an inquiry, the chosen vendor receives the details you submit. We do not sell inquiry details to unrelated vendors.
Service providers (processors) we use when configured: Supabase or similar for data hosting, Google for sign-in, Stripe for vendor membership billing only, Resend or similar for transactional email, and our hosting provider. They may process data only to provide their services to us.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We use essential session and security cookies to keep you signed in and protect the service.
If we add analytics or advertising cookies later, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain consent before using them for non-essential purposes.
We keep account and listing data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
You may request account deletion through Settings or by emailing us. Some records may be retained where the law requires or where needed for legitimate business purposes (for example, billing history).
Accounts are limited to adults 18 or older. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including to request access to or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to know categories of information collected and shared.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise privacy rights, email hello@ocvendorguide.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We will verify your request as required by law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA rights.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
The Platform is intended for users in the United States, especially California. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand information may be processed in the United States.
We may update this Policy by posting a revised version with a new effective date.
