OC Vendor Guide
Help
Short answers for parents and vendors.
Why can I browse without an account? Discovery is public. You only need an account to save vendors, send inquiries, or leave a review. An inquiry is not a booking.
Does OC Vendor Guide book vendors or take party deposits? No. Arrange dates, contracts, and payment directly with the vendor. Membership fees paid by vendors to us are a separate transaction.
How does the founding vendor trial work? The first 30 businesses get 30 days free after they publish, with a card saved in Stripe. $0 is charged during the trial. Unless they cancel from Billing, Pro or Featured bills automatically on the first charge date shown at checkout. Canceling during the trial avoids the charge; the listing leaves search when free access ends and the vendor’s content stays saved.
Why does a listing say Ask about pricing? Because the vendor did not publish a number. We never show $0.
Are reviews real? Yes. We don’t add fake ratings. Reviews are opinions from people with accounts.
What do listing badges mean?
Provider type describes how the listing is organized: Emerging Talent, Independent Provider, or Established Business. It is not a price tier, experience style, or paid membership.
Emerging Talent is for students, apprentices, and early-career providers building a public storefront.
Independent Provider is for solo artists and small operators who are not a multi-employee company.
Established Business is for registered companies or longer-running teams with a business storefront.
Reviewed credentials mean an administrator looked at an uploaded license, registration, permit, or insurance file. That is not a government certification, and a paid plan cannot buy it.
Missing documents are labeled not submitted or pending review. We never call a provider unlicensed just because a file was not uploaded.
Guardian-managed listing means an authorized adult owns the account, messages, contracts, and payments. Families contact the adult. We do not share a minor’s personal contact information or allow direct customer-to-minor messaging.
